Albert Podell

ALBERT PODELL is a former editor of Playboy, Argosy, and Modern Man, has published more than 300 magazine articles, and was the winner of the Metcalfe Award as the best humor writer in the State of New York. He is the co-author of the adventure classic, Who Needs A Road (Wolfenden, 1999), now in its eighth printing, and the forthcoming hardcover opus, Around the World in 50 Years: My Adventure to Every Country on Earth (St. Martin;’s Press, March, 2015).

Podell holds a B.A. in government from Cornell University, was the graduate fellow of the Committee on International Relations at the University of Chicago, and received a J.D from NYU school of Law. He has had successful careers as an editor, writer, advertising executive, good-government lobbyist, trial attorney, and theatrical producer.
